The Ariel JGN / JGQ compressors are high-performance, reciprocating (piston-type) gas compressors specifically engineered for mid to high-pressure natural gas and process gas compression applications. Widely used in upstream, midstream, and industrial sectors, these compressors are ideal for gas gathering, transmission, storage, and CNG (compressed natural gas) fueling applications. The JGN and JGQ frames represent two of Ariel’s most versatile and robust compressor lines, designed for continuous-duty cycles with superior mechanical integrity and field-proven reliability. The JGQ frame is a heavy-duty upgrade from the JGN, supporting larger cylinders and higher rod loads. Both compressors are horizontally opposed, featuring between 1 to 6 throws and up to 6 compressor cylinders. They are customizable with a wide range of cylinder configurations and pressure ratios to suit a variety of gas types and site conditions. Both models include Ariel’s advanced lubrication system, pressure packing designs, and are supported with Ariel Performance software for accurate performance predictions. These compressors are built to meet API 618 standards and are compatible with electric motors or gas engine drivers.
