The Ariel KBC, KBD, and KBF are heavy-duty reciprocating compressors within Ariel’s KB Series, purpose-built for high-horsepower, continuous-duty compression in transmission, storage, and process gas applications. Designed to meet stringent performance requirements, these frames feature large stroke lengths, high rod load capacities, and the structural strength needed for severe mechanical loads. The KBC offers high-speed operation for mid-to-high horsepower installations, while the KBD increases rod load capability and stroke length for higher displacement requirements. The KBF further enhances displacement and power-handling capacity, offering even more robust performance for pipeline and storage duties. All three models support up to 6 throws and multiple cylinder combinations, providing flexibility for multi-stage compression with high volumetric efficiency. These frames are commonly driven by large electric motors or high-output natural gas engines and meet API 618 standards.
