The Guascor G 56SL is a powerful 16-cylinder, 56 L spark ignited gas engine engineered for continuous-rated auxiliary power generation and marine electric propulsion. It operates in both lean-burn and spark-ignited Otto cycles at 1,500 and 1,800 rpm, delivering electrical output up to 1,010 kWe (1,200 rpm) and 1,110 kWe (1,800 rpm) at pf 0.8 — equivalent to mechanical power of about 1,475 bhp (1,067 kWb) and 1,431 bhp (1,067 kWb) respectively. Based on this, the engine generates approximately 8,800–9,000 Nm of torque. complying with ISO 8178 E2 and IMO Tier III regulations. Its robust, V 16 design makes the G 56SL ideal for high-demand roles aboard tugboats, ferries, offshore installations, and continuous industrial power setups.
