The Wartsila 20DF is a compact, four-stroke, medium-speed dual-fuel engine designed for marine propulsion and auxiliary power generation. It can operate on LNG (natural gas), marine diesel oil (MDO), or heavy fuel oil (HFO), offering seamless fuel switching under load. Available in 6L, 8L, and 9L in-line configurations, the engine delivers power between 1,056 and 1,665 kW at 1,000 rpm. With proven fuel flexibility and emissions control, the Wartsila 20DF meets IMO Tier III requirements in gas mode without SCR and is widely used in ferries, offshore supply vessels, tugboats, and coastal cargo ships.
