The Wartsila 25DF is a compact, next-generation, four-stroke dual-fuel marine engine designed for future-ready, low-emission marine operations. Introduced in 2023, it supports operation on LNG (natural gas) and marine diesel oil (MDO), with a modular design optimized for hybrid propulsion, fuel flexibility, and digital connectivity. The engine is available in 6L, 8L, and 9L in-line configurations, delivering power from 2,400 to 3,400 kW at 1,000–1,200 rpm. The Wartsila 25DF complies with IMO Tier III emission standards in gas mode without SCR, and is future-upgradable for carbon-neutral fuels like methanol, making it ideal for sustainable ship operations.
