The Wartsila 26 is a medium-speed, four-stroke marine engine designed to deliver reliable performance with high power density and low emissions. Introduced in the mid-1990s and continuously updated, it is available in 6-, 8-, and 9-cylinder in-line and 12- and 16-cylinder V configurations, producing power between 1,560 and 5,060 kW at 1,000 rpm. It runs on MDO, MGO, or HFO and is suitable for both main propulsion and auxiliary generation on a variety of vessel types. With Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), the Wartsila 26 meets IMO Tier III emissions requirements, making it a preferred engine for modern low-emission operations.
