The Wartsila 32 is a highly reliable, medium-speed, four-stroke marine engine designed for both propulsion and auxiliary applications. Introduced in the 1990s and continuously updated, the engine is available in in-line (6L, 8L, 9L) and V-type (12V, 16V, 18V) configurations, offering power outputs from 3,000 to 9,800 kW at 720 or 750 rpm. It is compatible with MDO, MGO, and optionally HFO, and is also offered in dual-fuel versions (Wartsila 32DF). When equipped with an SCR system or in gas mode (DF version), it meets IMO Tier III emission standards. It is widely used in ferries, offshore vessels, and coastal cargo ships.
