The Wartsila 14 is a compact, high-speed diesel engine series introduced by Wartsila in collaboration with Liebherr for auxiliary and propulsion applications. It is offered in two configurations: W14V12 and W14V16, with a cylinder bore of 135 mm and stroke of 157 mm. The engine delivers power outputs between 755 and 1,455 kW (1,012–1,951 hp) at 1,500 or 1,800 rpm, and is primarily used for auxiliary gensets, diesel-electric propulsion, and hybrid marine systems on vessels such as ferries, offshore support vessels, yachts, and small cruise or patrol ships. It is designed to be compact, fuel-efficient, and compliant with modern marine emissions standards.
