The Waukesha 275GL is a high-performance, large-bore, four-stroke gas engine designed for critical industrial applications, especially in gas compression and power generation. This engine is engineered to operate on natural gas and is available in both rich-burn and lean-burn configurations. It features a turbocharged and intercooled design and delivers exceptional thermal efficiency, low emissions, and high-power density. The 275GL series includes 12-cylinder and 16-cylinder models, with outputs reaching up to 5,000 hp (3,730 kW). Emissions-wise, the 275GL complies with EPA Tier 2 and Tier 3 standards (depending on configuration) and is often fitted with advanced emission control systems like the Emission Reduction System (EMRS) or catalyst packages for compliance. Its robust construction, long service intervals, and fuel flexibility make it ideal for continuous-duty gas compression stations, pipeline boosting, and central power plants, particularly in remote or unmanned environments.
