The Yanmar 6LYCR is a 6-cylinder, 4-stroke, vertical, water-cooled diesel engine designed for marine applications. With a displacement of 4.164 liters and a bore and stroke of 94 mm x 100 mm, it delivers a maximum output of 232 kW (315 mhp) at 3800 rpm. This engine features turbocharging and intercooling for enhanced performance. The direct injection system ensures efficient fuel delivery, and the engine is equipped with an electric starting system (12V - 2.5 kW). Cooling is provided by fresh water and seawater pumps, while an enclosed, forced lubrication system ensures smooth operation. The engine weighs 408 kg (899 lbs) and has dimensions of 1220 x 666 x 739 mm. It complies with emission standards such as EU RCD 1, IMO Tier 2, and EPA Tier 2, making it suitable for various marine applications.
